Product design and motion graphics for the Basso Bikes SV, between aerodynamics, light construction, handling and comfort.

Basso SV, SEMPRE VELOCE

Basso SV is the frame where lightness and handling meet comfort and adaptability: the kind of combination that turns any rider into the fastest version of themselves.

SV, short for Sempre Veloce, is the new road frame designed for Basso Bikes. As with every frame, the design starts with the study of the geometry of the medium size, research into competitor models and the requests coming from the market. Once the geometry is approved, the work on shape design begins.

Aerodynamics, lightness and handling

The design concept brings together aerodynamic efficiency, light construction and handling, with particular attention to comfort and adaptability. The study of the geometry explored new frame shapes able to keep a visual link with previous Basso models, while introducing a more contemporary, better balanced aesthetic.

Navigable 360° model

Once the engineered 3D model was ready, I took care of creating the communication materials for the launch and for the presentation of the frame on the website.

One especially useful asset is the navigable 360° model, which lets the customer appreciate every aesthetic detail of the frame instead of being limited to the side view and a handful of lifestyle shots.

Features and details

For the official model page on the Basso website, alongside the technical information, I created a set of digital animations that go with the features of the frame.
