Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data the website rexmonkey.com collects, why, for how long it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Rex Monkey — Luca Moro, Strada Cartigliana 115, Bassano del Grappa (VI), Italy, VAT IT04043960246.
For anything about this policy, write to info@rexmonkey.com.

What we collect, and why

The contact form

When you write to us through the form you send us your name, your email address, a subject and your message, plus the record of the consent you tick. We use them for one purpose only: reading your message and replying to it.

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time, and, if your message is about a possible project, the steps taken at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).

What you send is delivered as an email to info@rexmonkey.com. It is not saved in the website database: the only temporary trace is a technical record that lasts at most five minutes and exists so the form can be refilled if a field is wrong. We keep the email for as long as our exchange needs, and afterwards only for the time required by tax or legal obligations if the contact becomes a project.

Server logs

Like every website, ours records technical information when a page is requested: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. These logs are kept by our hosting provider and are used to keep the site running and to defend it against attacks and abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security of the service (Article 6(1)(f)).

Cookies

The site uses two technical cookies and nothing else: one remembers the language you are reading in, the other stores your choice on the cookie banner. There is no profiling, no advertising and no analytics. The details are in the cookie policy.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or trade your data, with anyone, for any reason.
  • We do not run analytics, advertising or profiling tools on this site.
  • We do not embed third-party players, maps or social widgets: the videos you see are served from this website, and the social icons are plain links that set nothing until you click them.
  • We take no automated decisions about you, and we do no profiling in the sense of Article 22 GDPR.
  • We do not ask for, and do not want, special categories of data (health, beliefs, and so on) through this website.

Who else sees your data

Only the suppliers who make the website and our email work, and only as data processors acting on our instructions: the hosting provider (SiteGround), which stores the site and its server logs, and the email provider that carries the messages from the form. Where they process data outside the European Union, they do so under the safeguards allowed by Chapter V of the GDPR, as described in their own policies.

Beyond that, we may have to disclose data if the law or a public authority requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time and free of charge, to:

  • see the data we hold about you (Article 15);
  • correct it if it is wrong or incomplete (Article 16);
  • delete it (Article 17);
  • restrict or object to the way we use it (Articles 18 and 21);
  • receive it in a portable format (Article 20);
  • withdraw your consent, which does not affect what was lawful before you withdrew it.

One email to info@rexmonkey.com is enough, and we answer within a month. If you think we have handled your data badly you can also complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority of the country you live in.

Children

This website is addressed to companies and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 14, and we delete it if we discover we have.

Changes to this policy

If what we do with your data changes, we change this page and update the date below. The Italian version of this document is the one that prevails in case of discrepancy.
